Media Coaching
Customized in depth media training at its finest. Coaching teaches business representatives how to feel comfortable on camera, engage an audience, speak with time constraints and deliver a successful media interview. Our session is tailored to virtual appearances, remote tapings or in studio segments. With the guide, we’ll cover best practices including:
What to wear: When choosing an outfit its important to be comfortable and look the part. For appearances in front of a camera jewel tones and large prints look flattering.
Where to look: A good rule of thumb is to look at whomever is talking. Ignore the cameras and have a conversation with a new friend.
What to do with your hands: Have your hands in a comfortable position. The hands add energy to a discussion. If the hands are how you talk, use them!
Settling nerves: Take a deep breath and envision your media appearance going well. Focus on having fun and give yourself a little pep talk or play a song that puts a smile on your face.
Be authentic: It's easy to focus on talking points and lose the conversation. Say words how they come naturally while still getting a message across.
Before media appearances we encourage representatives to do a dry run of their interview. This helps calm nerves and provides an opportunity to fine-tune the appearance. During our practice session, we will make sure the script fits within the time allotted and provide customized tips and coaching from the Media Guest Guide.
